Ireland Establishes Law Centre for Children

"Children’s difficulty in accessing legal services leaves many of them unable to seek redress for ill treatment and makes it difficult for them to seek information and advice."  According to a recent report in the Irish Times, "research and the work of non-governmental organisations identify that children face challenges having their rights protected in a wide range of areas, including: disability, education, child protection and immigration. Moreover, children in care, in detention and in need of mental health services are especially vulnerable."  To address this issue, Ireland is establishing a Law Centre for Children.  Find out more on this topic here.
